The City is a member of the Chamber and as such, all those attending the monthly meetings are invited to breakfast. I really don’t go to those meetings for a “free” breakfast. I look upon getting up at 6:30 AM to be able to attend the meeting at 7:00 AM and staying until 9:00, as part of my job as a Commissioner to show the business community that the City is interested in its problems and is there to help.
Of course, you also know my son started working for the City as a Code Enforcement officer in 1997, 9 years before I was elected to the Commission.
My daughter worked for the City, moved to back to California and then after a couple of years came back to Pembroke Pines. She was again hired by the City. No mystery.
Spin it any way you like Marty. It doesn’t change the facts.

Carl the cities membership is paid for with tax dollars one way or the other so you should be paying for your breakfast otherwise you are either stealing from the chamber or the tax payers . if you are so broke you can’t afford the $10.00 then you could volunteer to help at the breakfast and eat free.
As an retired attorney you should know about ethics! Oh that’s right you got your kids jobs with the city that were not advertised or put out for bid. Lol
Franks is the one who made this personal and you allowed him the swat team remove a handicapped person (me) from the meeting. What a waste of police resources.
God will judge you for this thanks for helping to ruin our fine city! Ike down if you want to write the chamber a check for $10.00 and start paying for your breakfasts I will leave you out of future post and remove you from the one I have up.

Why is it that they are to cheap to pay for their own breakfasts and demand that the tax payers feed them for free? Guess they are both ethically challenged. But I guess that is what we should expect from a lawyer Carl Shechter and a union organizer Frankie Ortis who was fired for antiunion policies.
